WYPW secures £45,315 National Lottery Heritage Fund Support for BluePRINT Project

We are delighted to announce £45,315 support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for our BluePRINT project. This funding will help us to capture and celebrate the rich history of printmaking in West Yorkshire, while shaping an ambitious and sustainable future for our organisation. A huge thank you to #NationalLottery players for making this possible!
Through research, consultation and creative engagement, BluePRINT will:
- Capture and share the story of printmaking in West Yorkshire
- Work with artists, communities, members and partners to co-create our next chapter
- Explore new spaces and facilities
- Strengthen our organisation for the future
Founded in 1984, West Yorkshire Print Workshop is one of the UK’s longest-established open-access print studios. With support from the Heritage Fund and Arts Council England, we are shaping a sustainable and dynamic future for printmaking that builds on our heritage, supports artists and champions creativity.
Natalie Rudd, Director of West Yorkshire Print Workshop, said:
“After over forty years of printmaking at our Mirfield site and five exciting years of programming and engagement at our Creative Piazza hub in Huddersfield, now is the perfect moment for the West Yorkshire Print Workshop team to reflect and imagine our future. The BluePRINT project will enable us to work with our members, partners and wider community to identify and share the rich histories of printmaking in West Yorkshire, and to shape a creative and sustainable way forward. We are deeply grateful to the Heritage Fund and all National Lottery players for this crucial support.”
