What We Do

Welcome to West Yorkshire Print Workshop. We are an open access fine art printmaking facility based in a former Victorian Church School adjacent to St. Paul’s Church in the centre of Mirfield, West Yorkshire.
Mission
Vision
West Yorkshire Print Workshop will be synonymous with excellence in printmaking.
Values
At the core of our work we proved a service which is delivered:
- Professionally
- Knowledgeably
- With a commitment to investment in staff, equipment and technology
- With respect for people, their art and equipment
- Inspirationally through example
- Generously in time and the sharing of expertise
Our aim is to support artists and creative businesses by providing open and accessible printmaking facilities, affordable studio spaces and exhibiting opportunities.
There’s a regular programme of specialised printmaking courses, from beginners to the more experienced, as well as more general art and craft workshops. We have three main printing rooms in addition to a gallery space which is used to host a changing programme of printmaking exhibitions as well as special events.
We also run a regular series of children’s art workshops. To keep informed about when they’re running, please sign up to the children’s workshop mailing list here.
We are always happy to show individuals or groups around the premises, please contact us if you are interested seeing our facilities.

West Yorkshire Print Workshop now opens six days a week. We have recently increased our opening times to ensure that we can offer days and times to suit the individual needs of artists. Support is available from our Print Studio Co-ordinator Kathryn Desforges. Please contact us to discuss any assistance that you require. Saturdays are aimed at experienced printmakers who are able to print effectively without technical support.
A booking system operates on a first come, first served basis, you must contact us during normal opening hours to book in advance. This is essential due to limited availability of equipment.
Please note: some courses are run on Saturdays and Sundays so not all of the facilities may be available every week.
