Neil Pittaway

Yorkshire born print-maker and tutor Neil Pittaway NEAC RWS RE works across a range of specialisms including, hard-ground, soft ground and aquatint etching, spit-bite etching, lino- cut, silk screen printing. The focus for his practice is the exploration of complex etchings and drawings based on visual histories.
As a graduate of Cheltenham School of Art, University of Bradford, Royal Academy Schools and the University of Huddersfield, Neil is also member of the New English Art Club, the Royal Watercolour Society, the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and an Associate member of the Alpine Club, London. He is the recipient of awards from the British Institution for both drawing and printmaking, Ashmolean Museum Oxford Award and the Arts Club London Excellence in Drawing Award.
His work resides in public collections including the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, Victoria and Albert Museum, St. Paul’s Cathedral Library, Guild Hall Art Library, Arts Club, London, D.H. Lawrence Museum, Nottingham, Indian Institute of Contemporary Art, Mumbai, India, Royal Collection and The Collection of Heritage Malta.
Neil has and continues to exhibit widely; including shows in the USA, Taiwan, India, Kenya, Italy and throughout the United Kingdom including the RA.
