Kirstie Williams is a designer, printmaker and creative tutor. She primarily uses screen printing and linocut processes in her work, and also occasionally uses monoprint & collograph to generate ideas, textures and patterns.
She is particularly interested in colour and the way colours influence each other on the page. She is inspired by 1950s textiles and often works with simplified shapes and geometric pattern.
Kirstie regularly sells her work at local fairs and exhibitions as well as online. She currently works as the Print Studio & Course Coordinator at The Art House in Wakefield as well as being a tutor and founder member of Leeds Print Workshop. Kirstie gained an MA in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art in 2010 and completed a PGCE teaching qualification at Huddersfield University in 2014.
