I have worked in further and higher education for almost twenty years, across various teaching and managerial roles. I began as a part-time Lecturer during ‘teacher training’ placement in 1999-2000, and have gone full circle, with the previous post being a three-year national research project focusing on initial teacher education for teachers working in colleges – https://www.improvingtechnicaleducation.org.uk/teacher-education
I am interested in access to education, diversity, cohesion and equality. I have interests across a number of areas, including national college governance and how local relationships & aims are realised. In addition to this, I continue to be intrigued by creative, effective curriculum design particularly those opportunities where interdisciplinary opportunities present themselves.
Working in the education sector has allowed for the querying of the medium, the use of media production in a gallery, site specific or performance context, alongside that required of traditional and hybrid broadcast.
