Selected from open submission, the 11th annual Flourish Award for Excellence in Printmaking exhibition launched in our project space in Huddersfield town centre on 1st August and is open to the public on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays until 12th September.
This exhibition considers fragility and instability. Both artists find ways of repairing the materials with which they work and in so doing show that these fragile objects can be repaired and renewed, and through this process of recovery are transformed.
Over 500 prints, each 20cmx20cm, by artists from print workshops throughout the uk and abroad, co-ordinated by Hot Bed Press in Salford.
The winner of the Flourish Award will receive a year’s free membership at West Yorkshire Print Workshop and the chance to present a solo print exhibition at Huddersfield Art Gallery in Autumn 2017.
