Talking Art recordings
Discover what inspires print-makers around the world in a series of talks exclusively for West Yorkshire Print Workshop.
Mixing cities and neighbourhoods, Tanya Morand’s compositions show irregular and imaginative, rather than ordinary and orderly, views. Figures pass through these scenes as if defying the laws of gravity.
Tanya’s process is exciting, distinctive and energetic, much like her works and we can’t wait to hear the process in the artist’s own words.
Born in Montreal, Tanya’s works have been presented in numerous exhibitions in Canada as well as at Brita Prinz Arte in Spain, Cross Street Arts in England, and at the 10th World Triennial of Print-making in Chamalières, France. Morand has participated in several artistic residencies in Spain and Quebec and has been a recipient of grants from both the Quebec and Canadian Arts’ Councils. Her work is currently represented in Quebec by the gallery Galerie.a.
