Learn how to screenprint and create your own unique cards and festive gift tags to send to friends and family this Christmas.
On this workshop you’ll be guided through the screen printing process using blank screens and paper stencils. You’ll design and print your own festive stencil designs and gain an understanding of basic screen printing methods.

Beginner level – ideal for complete beginners or those who would like a refresher in stencil screen printing.
All course prices include basic materials such as inks, paper, tools and equipment.
What do I need to prepare beforehand?
Students can bring simple festive images with them for inspiration but there will also be lots of reference images available and you can come up with ideas on the day.
- Introductions, health and safety, showing examples
- Demonstration (cutting a stencil, mixing inks, setting up and printing methods etc)
- Students cutting their stencils and printing their own cards and tags
Covid-19 safety :
To comply with government guidance for COVID-19, we have made several changes to how we operate. As a result, our workshops and the way we run courses looks a little different. We have everyone’s safety as our main priority. It might not be quite the same as it was before but your ability to get stuck in and enjoy a spot of printmaking remains the same. Added measures to keep you safe include:
- All courses working with reduced numbers and to government guidance in relation to social distancing
- Requesting that everyone in communal areas of the workshop, if able, wears either a face covering, mask or a visor.
- Hand sanitiser provided on entry and additional cleaning measures in place.
- Removal of any shared equipment or materials wherever possible.

After attending this course you can join our workshop as a member and continue to use our facilities to make and develop your own work. The sooner the better, as the longer you leave it the more you are likely to forget! If you join up within one month of attending the course you will receive a £5 discount. Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel your booking more than three weeks prior to the course start date, you will be eligible for a refund, minus a 5% admin fee. (Admin fee does not apply for Printmaker’s Toolkit Sessions).
We regret that we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than three weeks before the course start date. At this point we have already started making preparations including ordering materials and equipment, and it is less likely that we will be able to fill your place.
We cannot give refunds for failed attendance due to sickness or external circumstances.
If you would like to transfer to another course, we can do this free of charge providing you let us know three weeks prior to the course start date.
Bookings cannot be transferred with less than three week’s notice, however in the event that you are unable to attend on the day, bookings can be transferred to another person. In this case please inform us as far in advance as possible so that we can update the booking.

West Yorkshire Print Workshop reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses. If this happens we will endeavour to give at least a week’s notice, and full refunds will be given.
