Description
Create rainbow coloured screen prints on paper using simple hand cut stencils and just three colours; cyan, magenta and yellow! This is a fun way to learn about colour and work with overlapping layers of ink to create exciting multi-coloured screen prints.
The workshop will guide you through the whole process starting with drawing a design suitable for screen printing with hand cut stencils, working out the different layers for your design and hand cutting a separate stencil for each layer. You will learn how to set up to print and carefully register each different layer. And then you will screen print using your hand cut stencils, a silk screen, squeegee and water based inks. You will screen print two or more layers of ink which overlap to create multi-coloured prints on paper. By the end of the course you will have printed a series of about ten screen prints on A3 paper.
Perfect for lovers of graphic imagery and colour!
