Our annual subscription kits have been developed by the following artists; Laura Slater, Katy Welsh, Jonnie Lawes, Izzy Williamson, Katy Binks and Millie Rothera and draw upon styles which inspire their own practice and cover techniques including lino stamping, lino reduction, monoprint, paper stencil screen-print, mono screen-print and collagraph.
Perfect for beginners or those with a bit of printing knowhow although we would say that due to some of the processes and tools required we wouldn’t recommend this kit for the under 12s – sorry kiddo’s you’ll be better suited with one of our other boxes.
What’s my first kit? – Bauhaus Lino Cut with Millie Rothera
Within this kit you will explore the Bauhaus weaving course, a course described to be one of the most enduring, productive and groundbreaking courses within the Bauhaus, and focus on the work of Anni Albers for inspiration.
Looking at how Albers used repetition of geometric woven shape and the iconic Bauhaus colour palette of primary red, yellow, blue and black, this kit aims for the participant to explore the Bauhaus ‘style’ of utilizing simple forms to create complex prints and colour overlays whilst introducing you to the use of Lino Printing.
Materials Included: Lino /Roller/ Ink & Pots/ Printing Plate/ Paper/
