Exclusive Members Visit: Cooper Gallery, Barnsley

Join us for our next WYPW Members’ Trip as we visit the Cooper Gallery, Barnsley, to see Studio Prints: Creative Collaboration.

This fascinating exhibition celebrates the newly acquired Balakjian Collection and offers a rare insight into the collaborative process behind some of Britain’s most celebrated contemporary prints. Featuring works connected to the renowned London print studio Studio Prints, the exhibition explores the relationship between master printers Dorothea Wight and Marc Balakjian and artists including Lucian Freud, Frank Auerbach, Stephen Conroy and Celia Paul.

Our visit includes a curator’s talk and guided tour of the exhibition, giving us the opportunity to delve deeper into the stories, techniques and processes behind the works on display.

As well as enjoying the exhibition together, this is a relaxed members’ social, a chance to meet fellow printmakers and chat with other members of the workshop.
