Description
Struggling to find the perfect box to use as your portfolio to store your publications and prints? Perhaps you fancy creating a beautiful item to house your favourite keepsakes? Or maybe you simply fancy exploring a heritage craft and indulging yourself in a day of learning the skills to make beautiful boxes either for yourself or someone special in the future? During this one day workshop you will be guided under the watchful eye of experienced book binder Roger Grech to make a Solander Box – sometimes known as a drop back or clamshell box.
Learn how to measure, cut and prepare all the materials to make you own A5 box, lined with a beautifully patterned end paper from our selection. During the workshop you will be taught the correct terminology and alongside the hands on tutorial Roger will also throw in a few tricks of the trade!
