Print Day in May 2023

For those unfamiliar, Print Day in May is an annual, global celebration of printmaking taking place on the first Saturday in May. Each year, tens of thousands of printmakers around the world make prints and share their experiences and practice with others. This year celebrates the 16th year of the event and WYPW is proud to be part of it.

Print Day in May isn’t the only one celebrating though. The first Saturday in May this year also happens to be the King’s coronation and as such, we have decided to bring our event forward to the Friday so as not to clash with any street parties, family gatherings or other events you might have going on that day so…

Please join us:
FRIDAY 5th May 1:30 – 4:30pm
Mirfield Workshop

We’ll have live print demos in Floor Varnish Lithography, Mono Serigraphy and Letterpress printing without Letters, all perfect for seeing some of the things we get up to at the workshop and inspiring you to have a go.

There’ll be Open Studios too so you can peek behind the scenes at what our resident artists get up to behind their closed doors and there’ll be work for sale in our gallery shop as we celebrate the talent of our member’s community in our Print Bazaar! Oh and plentiful tea and cake too of course!!

Fingers crossed for good weather and we hope to see you there!
