Discover the process of the printmaking journey and grab a unique piece as part of our appeal to support our future.
At West Yorkshire Print Workshop, we’ve launched a new fundraising campaign, with chance to own unique pieces of art.
The ‘Misprints’ campaign in July will help us to raise vital funds and raise awareness of the printmaking process.
The first 25 donors of £25 or more will receive a unique piece from a local artist.
‘Misprints’ are test pieces or off-cuts from the production of a piece of printed art. While these normally end up hiding in an artist’s drawer or on the print room floor, artists from WYPW are giving them away in exchange for a donation to the charity, to raise awareness of the printmaking process that often goes unseen and tell their story to more people.
Many artists are only ever represented by their final pieces and the efforts and length of the production process isn’t always clear. At West Yorkshire print Workshop, we want to share these beautiful test pieces to help tell this story, and bring more art to more people.
The first 25 donations of £25 or more in July will receive a bright, unique misprint at random. Donations can be made at
www.localgiving.org/wypw-misprints.
Be sure to leave your email address so you can be contacted to receive your ‘thank you!’
For artists:
Those who wish to donate their ‘misprints’ to the campaign to help raise awareness of their own work, as well as extend WYPW’s fundraising efforts, can do so by contacting Jen at jenny@wypw.org.
When you donate to West Yorkshire Print Workshop, you help us provide creative space and inspiration for artists and support us in our community outreach.
