Lisa Stubbs

I work in-between my home studio in the beautiful hills of the Holme valley and the print rooms at the fabulous WYPW. I love the screen printing process and experimenting with textures, building images up in layers of colour. Recently I’ve been creating paper stencil monoprints, loving the organic nature of the process and the happy (accidents) surprises that occur in the final reveal! along with experimenting with black line work using dry point etching.
My work is inspired by the little moments in my family life, the “I’m so lucky” money can’t buy moments. Pockets of time that are hard to describe, but feel good. I want to capture feelings of being connected to family, friends, the past and nature and the nostalgia that creates. The good vibes. The breath it in moments.
