Janet Sang

Janet Sang is an artist based in Brighton, where she makes prints at Volcanic Editions. She is a member of the Printmakers Council and in 2022 was elected an Associate member of the RE. 


In her many-layered compositions, Janet combines imagery from hand-drawn, photographic and digitally- mediated sources, enjoying the scope for putting together the unexpected and for revealing systems of representation. Recently she has extended that scope by mixing screen print with etching. Her aim is to create allegorical settings which invite engagement with the structures and debates underlying social injustice.
