Printmaking has been an essential element within my practice which includes books, sculpture & installation. The ideas within my work are centred within the genre of still life, and how through an examination of our relationship to common objects, notions of journey, absence and loss can be articulated. The prints submitted were made for an exhibition at the Esorick Collection in which I was invited to hang my work alongside the Italian metaphysical artist, Giorgio Morandi. the Works were a result of objects made in the studio, configured, photographed, further developed in the computer before being realised as either photo-etchings or woodcuts. They continue an ongoing dialogue between sculpture and print.
