Established in 1984, West Yorkshire Print Workshop is the largest open access printmaking facility in Yorkshire. Nestled in the heart of Mirfield, we support, nurture and promote creative talent through the joy of making prints.
From Monday 19 July, a loosening of government restrictions in England means the wearing of face coverings and observing social distancing is no longer mandatory. However, the government recommendation remains to wear face masks in indoor or crowded environments and our priority is the safety and confidence of people in our spaces.
With this in mind, we will be asking our visitors, members and WYPW team to voluntarily maintain the same safety measures of wearing face masks in communal spaces, hand sanitising and 1m+ social distancing that, to date, have kept us safe and given confidence to everyone using our spaces.
The Flourish Award celebrates excellence in printmaking through a curated exhibition of around 12-15 artists shortlisted from open submission. The competition is open to established, emerging, and student artist/printmakers, with shortlisting and prizes awarded by an independent panel of judges.
